Pictures to the south were supported by the following observations:

  • A surprising amount of fast food trash (McDonalds) like large plastic cups, bags, paper containers

  • Not much oder as the winds were up 

  • 2 automobile tires

  • 4 plastic 5-gallon bucket

  • Foliage is very green as bushes are growing in the field

  • Water is flowing north with a dark brown color

  • Plastic trash along shorelines is visible all around.  

  • Lots and lots of plastic bottles (water/soda) as well as other trash along the banks.  Larger items include:

    • Large plastic and styrofoam cooler

Pictures to the south were supported by the following observations:

  • several plastic 5-gallon buckets

  • 8 automobile tires (at least)

  • lots of trash that include the following:

    • plastic bottles (water/soda).  More than the south side

    • in the 2nd picture of this group you can see how the shoreline at the top of the frame is still white.  Plastic waste covers the natural shoreline.

    • Plastic trash shorelines in all surrounding areas.  It almost looks like trees are growing out from the plastic waste.
